Staff

The nursery manager is supernumerary and covers breaks / holidays as appropriate. There will always be at least two members of staff present at all times whilst there are children on the premises. All staff are DBS checked. We are registered with the Care Inspectorate for Wales. 

Staffing Ratios

At present we cater for 34 children at one time.
This is set into groups as follows:

Baby Room;          Babies aged 6 weeks to 2 years      Staff ratio: 1:3

Playroom 1:              Toddlers aged 2 to 3 years          Staff ratio: 1:4

Playroom 2:             Children aged 3 to 8 years           Staff ratio: 1:8

After school/Holiday Club:    Children aged 4 to 8 years Staff ratio: 1:8

These are CIW regulations. However, we always aim to have a higher ratio of staff.
